NOXQSES = NO EXCUSES

“Zero excuses plus accountability equals mental toughness”

Have you ever asked yourself? Why do we make excuses? Are we trying to protect
ourselves from accepting temporary defeat, anxiety or shame? Really, what is it? We’re
quick to make excuses to authority figures, our loved ones, our peers and subconsciously.

There’s not a belching human on the planet that doesn’t make excuses. We’re all guilty of
being excusers throughout our lives. If you fail to accept this as truth, you’re full of shi…
pardon me…excuses, lol!

There’s nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to excuse-making behavior. It doesn’t
cost taxpayers. It doesn’t pollute the air. But what it does do, is cripple your thoughts so
that you never take responsibility for your own actions. This type of thinking is hazardous to
your physical, mental and emotional well-being and can derail you from personal success.

But when there’s a wheel (will), there’s a speed bump, meaning you can overcome this
feeling of fear by doing the following:

  • List on a sheet of paper all the excuses that you’ve ever made
  • Record yourself reading those excuses
  • Ball up that same sheet of paper, unfold and tape it on your bedroom wall

Now grab a fresh sheet of paper and do the following:

  • List the reasons why you’ll start taking responsibility for your actions
  • Record yourself reading those reasons
  • Laminate this sheet of paper and tape it on the wall next to the balled-up sheet of paper

So, for now, until forever, the wrinkled sheet of paper represents the OLD YOU and the fresh sheet of paper represents the NEW YOU!

Accept your new way of thinking and accept responsibility for your actions!  Accept the fact that you’re learning to become a leader who refuses to blame others (things or particular situations) for your own personal failures or deficiencies.

Remember NOXQSES = NO EXCUSES.

Now…have you ever asked yourself?  Why do we belch?  Again, pardon me…that’s a completely different topic, lol!
